27RX197G, .404, 197 drive link Hyper-skip Ripping saw chain
27RX197G, Oregon .404 pitch .063 gauge 197 Drive link Hyper Skip Ripping saw chain in RipCut in super-skip 9" cutter sequence
Oregon 27RX197 404 chainsaw chain is built with a hyper skip sequence 9 inches between left and right cutters, allowing greater chip clearance on super wide cuts. It is a specialty ripping chain designed to be used exclusively on portable sawmill slabbing machines with electric motors and gas engines, such as the D&L, Lucas, package, and Peterson sawmills. It is commonly used to slab logs into lumber, cutting burls and stumps into tabletops. This ripping chain gives you a smooth, consistent surface when cutting parallel to the grain of a log, and because it has few cutters, it is quicker to sharpen. This chain is recommended for milling purposes only; therefore, not recommended for standard handheld use.
Sharpens at a 10-degree angle with a 7/32" file (part#_70502_)
Maintain depth gauge at .030 clearance
If you have a 27, 52, 59, or 68 stamped on your current Oregon drive link and there are 197 drive links counted or bar stamped 404 063 197DL, then this chain will fit your saw.
